##* Malte mention that hot checkout for the BCAL will start in earnest next week.

##* Zisis reported that he and Jon Zarling produced a more detailed how-to on setting the SiPM voltages after a shutdown, which will supplement the [https://halldweb.jlab.org/hdops/wiki/index.php/Barrel_Calorimeter_ExpertBCAL Expert Wiki Page].  The report can be found at [https://halldweb.jlab.org/doc-private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=6777 GlueX-doc-6777] and Mark will link to is from the expert page.

## Update on photon covariance matrix [https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/3/38/VnPresentationFeb26.pdf (Varun)]. Varun reported that he is retracing Mark's photon covariance work (done originally by Mark in 2016 for BCAL and FCAL) for FCAL2, and using Mark's plugins.  The mechanics seem to be working under JANA2.  Communications between Varun and Mark and Simon have taken place and led to using run 130000.  The plots are not exactly what is expected and this issue (could be due ccdb call) are being tracked.  New simulations were submitted today.  Harsimran is being trained by Varun in order to eventually have that responsibility of the next few years.

## An explicit agenda item will be placed on the agenda for the next CALWG meeting (March 12) to discuss what should be the default reconstruction algorithm for FCAL2.

Goals for Calorimetry Group

  1. Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
  2. Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at least 5 MeV.
  3. Demonstrate agreement of photon resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.
  4. Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

  1. Announcements:
    1. Malte reported that beam start is planned for March 21.
  2. Past Meeting Minutes: no review needed.
  3. Review Action Items: no review needed.
  4. Detectors
    1. FCAL/ECAL: Malte connected from the dark room and reported that 7-8 bases have problems and another 10 have signals missing, but theses issues partially overlap leading to about 15 bases that he is chasing.
    2. BCAL:
      • Malte mention that hot checkout for the BCAL will start in earnest next week.
      • Zisis reported that he and Jon Zarling produced a more detailed how-to on setting the SiPM voltages after a shutdown, which will supplement the Expert Wiki Page. The report can be found at GlueX-doc-6777 and Mark will link to is from the expert page.
  5. Calibration: no report.
  6. Monitoring: no report.
  7. Reconstruction
    1. Update on photon covariance matrix (Varun).
  8. Simulations: no report.
  9. Any other business
    1. An explicit agenda item will be placed on the agenda for the next CALWG meeting (March 12) to discuss what should be the default reconstruction algorithm for FCAL2.
