Agenda

  • Preparation of parts for ECAL -- Sasha
    • - signal cables: Received all needed long cables. Redid and tested 4 bundles. All cables are ready.
    • - signal patch panels are ready [1]
    • - HV cables: have received 330 short cables, have been testes and labeled. 800 cables are ready for installation. Long cables are in production
    • - HV distribution boards: Chris is finalizing design of the distribution board, should order 4 boards soon.
    • - LV cables: ordered, lead time unclear
    • - LV distribution boards. The design of the LV distribution board has been finalized. Boards will be ordered during next week.
    • - Optical fibers: received all
  • Ongoing projects -- Sasha, all
  • Testing of PMT dividers -- Sasha / Vlad / Aoran / Boaxin
    • - Testing procedure [7]
    • - Tested 420 dividers [8] (104 last week)
  • Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha / Vlad / Hakob
  • Analysis/Simulation

  • 4 signal bundles were redone, all signal cables ready
  • Patch panels in place
  • Short HV cables arrived
  • HV distribution board delayed
  • Finalizing design for LV distribution board
  • Fiber bundles attached to multi-hole interface to integrating sphere
    • Machined flat with diamond mill and polished
    • Visually verified light transmission through fibers
    • Added light-tightness protection
  • Installation of LG plexiglas imminent -- sanding ongoing
  • PMT divider tests ongoing (now 420 done)
  • Rad-hardness test of dividers ongoing (now up to 42 kRad dose, goal 50 kRad)
  • Periphery of LG surveyed, recorded position of shims
  • Plan to test trigger/DAQ, optical fiber needed
  • Cable installation for insert expected to begin mid January at earliest
