Goals for Calorimetry Group
- Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
- Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at least 5 MeV.
- Demonstrate agreement of photon resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.
- Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

Minutes
Attendees: Matt, Mark, Susan, Igal, Tolga, Jon, Karthik, Sasha, Malte, Varun, Zisis
- Announcements: none
- Past Meeting Minutes: no review needed
- Review Action Items: no review needed
- Run Operations
- FCAL/FCAL2: 25 bases changed over the break. Lockup rate of 3/ day. Malte is analyzing the results using entire PrimEx run period, looking at the archiver. The lockups are spread randomly over the FCAL face, with no noticeable concentration near the center. He uses rad508_p2 neutron detector. Checked with empty and filled target (He) but also for Be. Script exists for shift takers once a lockup is detected: entire FCAL high voltage needs to be turned off, then the script resets things. Discussions with Hovanes are ongoing to see if the detection and rest can go into the alarm handler. See modified script and lockup analysis
- BCAL: all in the green. Mark’s new method of pulsing will be monitored by him and Varun.
- Calibration
- FCAL energy calibration: Igal reported on using the LEDs to adjust the gains. It looks promising. There a few more checks to do such as ensuring the LEDs are stable by looking at neighbouring blocks.
- Monitoring
- Reconstruction: no report
- Simulations: no report
- Any other business: none
