Goals for Calorimetry Group
- Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
- Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at least 5 MeV.
- Demonstrate agreement of photon resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.
- Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

Minutes
Attendees: Simon, Sasha, Igal, Sean, Malte, Mark, Eugene, Zisis
- Announcements: none.
- Past Meeting Minutes: Simon reported that the calibration was discussed during the last meeting when Zisis was not present.
- Review Action Items:
- Short term: Hydra will resume when the experiment restarts.
- Long term:
- covariance matrices; no plan at present but ECAL will need some work.
- hot channels: these need to be tested as soon as the DAQ is up. Check baseline and do repairs to units.
- Packages: number 10 is not needed; move to completed list and mark as not needed.
- Detectors
- FCAL: Malte reported on the progress related to dark room, slow controls, power chassis, LED strands, IOC issue (newer major version of EPIC needed in going to Al9 from AL7). 1.8 kV PMTs replaced.
- ECAL: Sasha reported that DAQ is running ok, online scanners implemented for scalars, HV distribution quotes sen out, LMS may need direct light instead of using diffusion sphere, chiller not tested.
- BCAL: no report.
- Calibration: Sasha started a Wiki page for the calibration. Weeks may be need for detector commissioning. A few ideas were discussed (comics, pi0, Compton): these need to be fleshed out. Cosmics might need weeks of running so should start as soon as possible.
- Monitoring: no report.
- Reconstruction: no report.
- Simulations: Simon reminded us that geometry upgrades, reported at the Sept Collaboration Meeting, are now in the master GitHub branch. Igal will test them
- Any other business: it was decided to resume the Wednesday morning technical FCAL2 meetings. Zisis will organize them.
